Front Middle Overhead Light Not Working?

Hey guys,

I noticed that my front middle overhead light by the rear view mirror (one that turns on when car is unlocked) stopped working last week. Naturally I thought that it burned out so i decided to replace that bulb as well as all the interior lights with LED's. The whole project went fine with every other bulb in the car except for that middle overhead bulb which i can't get to turn on. I don't think it is a connection issue but maybe some weird porsche lighting mix-up that i need to reset somehow??

anyone have this problem before? its the only bulb in the whole interior that i can't get to turn on. is there a way to reset all the lights in the interior? or a fuse maybe?

thanks in advance...

Is the LED in the socket the right way? Try reversing it. If that doesn't help - have you checked the switch position? And fuses are listed in your owners manual, but I doubt if they have a single fuse for one bulb.

yes the polarity is correct and i have checked the switch position. i also am pretty sure that there wouldn't be a fuse just for one light. but ill have a look anyway.

Common problem.
Take a look at post #11 for the fix.

Just a FWIW - my P!G is in the Porsche garage (CPO thank Dog!) getting this repaired. Mine failed so the sliding part of the switch was hanging down and just flopping around. The PDF on the repair looks invaluable for next time this happens. They're also doing the windshield/headlight washer leak in the bumper, and new struts for the rear hatch.
