957 GTS suspension on 955 with air suspension

odd ball question? I couldn't find it on a search was curious to find out if the 957 GTS suspension (air/coils) without PDCC, could be retro fitted to a 955 with air suspension.

My 2006 has almost 86k on her and lets say 40K of that has been on nyc roads/ the other 46k on long smooth riding road trips so I'm looking for options as my bags (air suspension ) gets up in age...

This is my first go round with air suspension on a vehicle I actually own not lease and plan to keep her and get at least 300k out of her, noticed my neighbors A8 bags leaking already and our cars are similar in age.

Audi air suspensions are notorious for problems.

I'm an Audi Allroad survivor, so I know first hand!

I have had no issues with the air suspension leaking on my '04 CS at 97k miles.

For reference, I have an 04 CTT, at 116k miles I blew the passenger front air bag. The dealer charged $5k to replace both front air struts. Insurance ended up covering the repair and calling it no fault road hazard damage. New air struts get a 2 year 20k mile warranty.

Thanks for the responses so far, not worried as far as the labor portion of the repair/future swap. Little more curious as to if the GTS 957 set up will work on the 955... hopefully i didn't read it incorrectly somewhere but the GTS air suspension also supplements a coiled spring in it. In other words its a bag and spring set up. I have driven a few GTS, but never had one on the lift to inspect the set up closely.

Any GTS owners have an idea of what I am talking about or am I mistaken in the steel coil springs and airbag set up?

Cool

Well, I downloaded the parts manuals for both the 955 and 957. The air strut part number is different, not just a revision change at the end of the number.

The parts diagrams though are the same. So not sure exactly what changed.

There did not seem to be a specific GTS air strut. Though I could be missing it through the option codes.

My understanding was that the GTS just had a different control module. N sure if that will work on the 955 though.

i am thinking of retro fitting the PDCC to my 957 GTS - the PDCC has no electical switches etc - i suspect they could do it.

anyone try it?
