11k & counting and we're still feeding the pig a quart every 1k miles. so "more than 11k" would be my answer.

If I were you i would drive the truck in manual tiptronic mode where you have to shift. Always keep the rpm's no matter which gear you are in between 2500 min and 4200 max. I did it this way for 1500 miles and I don't have an oil consumption problem. I put my first qt of oil in at about 4700 miles...The way it is suppose to be. If you notice when you stay in auto shift mode, the truck will shift up to the next highest gear at very low revs, so you can be doing 35-40 mph and the truck will want to shift up to fifth with rpms at like 1500. Not good in my opinion for break in....

I did 2000 miles, and every 500 miles i stepped on it a bit, Initially I took a 200 mile drive in the highway at about 65-70 when I took it out of the dealer. After 2000 miles the car felt broken in, and I started stepping on it. I think doing this in tiptronic is a good idea as it was just recommended

if you're not keeping the car for good .. why bother breaking in ? by the time you break in .. you probably have the hype for another car already .. but then what other SUV better than the C.T ?

On the other hand, i've heard many people say nowadays the engine are all pre-runned in.

What do you guys think ?
