06 Cayenne S Aux alternative?

Is there a good alternative to hook up iphone/ipod? All other vehicles have Aux input and I always enjoyed XM all these times...

I found couple conversion kits, which run about high-couple hundred dollars. I am curious to find out if there's cheaper/easier solution to this. Thanks.

No really cheaper solution unless you are comfortable digging into the guts of the PCM2.1 - which can be awfully expensive if you make a mistake.

Bruin Pcar is infamous around these parts
No cheap way to do this that I'm aware of... a few have installed some aftermarket products with varying success/ease of use (mobridge, itronic, navtv, etc). Either way, you're likely looking at $500-$800 for the product, plus install on your own or through a 3rd party.

There is a Porsche product for an ipod connection, but it's ultimately through FM modulation so not going to give you the quality sound nor hookup to the iphone as far as I know.

The least expensive add-on, if you're not going for BlueToof is probably the Dension adpators;

If you have navigation (PCM2.1) - the GW500 will run a bit over $400. If you have the radio without navigation - you could use the GateWay Lite.. for around $200. Lots of choices: http://www.autotoys.com/x/home.php?cat=1220 (and I don't work for them - or have any interest in them except as a happy customer of them for the GW500/BTA1500 setup..)

Yeah I looked at Dension. Mine is with Navi. I never paid attention to PCM version. Anyone care to give me a short instruction on how to find it? I am guessing it's under "INFO" somewhere...

Thanks!

Well, you have an '06.. and I bet it uses a single DVD for navigation - meaning you have PCM 2.1. If you have the phone buttons on the front - it's compatible with Dension's GW500/BTA1500 combo.
