I purchase the Transport crossbars and rack so the wife and kid can put their snowboards up on top. But, I thought it was supposed to be easy to put on and take off... I still can't get them on... I must be doing something wrong...Someone please help????

First, I open the side covers with the key and place in the slots on the roof...
then, slide them until I hear a slight click as they are in place along the groove??

Then when I try to close the cover, it won't close. It feels like there is a lot of resistance and since it is plastic I do not want to force it. It seems like it would break if I force it closed... Is it supposed to be this way????

Does anyone know of a video on installing these exists?? If it is this hard to put up, I don't think the wife is gonna be able to do it??

Don't know for sure without seeing what you're doing, but did you try putting the key in and turning it both ways to see if the position of the lock is keeping the cover from closing?

 

theres a metal tab on the backside thats needs to be lifted before you can close the outside covers.
