So I am looking to do pads and rotors, and came accross rmeuropean.com. $387 for OEM front pads sensors and rotors... That crazy cheap...does anyone know if they are legit? How can everything be sold 50% less than the dealer? Are the parts really OEM and real any help would be great. Thanks

 

First some definitions:

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer. ALL that means is the manufacturer may have at one time made SOME part for Porsche. That's makes them an OEM. It doesn't mean they made these parts for Porsche, or that the parts they're selling are the same parts that Porsche uses. OEM is widely tossed around to give legitimacy to what might not be such great parts.

OE = Original Equipment. It means it is the SAME part as Porsche buys and uses. There can be a BIG difference between OE and OEM parts. Companies like Zimmerman are OE suppliers to Porsche.. but they also sell parts as "OEM" that are not identical to the part they manufacture for Porsche.

In the case of "crazy cheap" - chances are - those are the 2nd tier parts, not the parts made for Porsche.
