2009 Cayenne Turbo S

Guys just picked up a 2009Cayenne Turbo S in Lava Grey and cant wait. Coming from a 2006 Turbo S I wasnt expecting that much of a change in driving characteristics from the 06 but was I dead wrong. First the sport button is finally a real sport button. Engine and tranny come alive. Also even in standard the power is delivered much smoother which I guess is because of the direct injection. My 06 seemed a bit peaky and did have much more turbo lag.

09 handles much better also and feels much more like a sports car than truck. As for the Interior, the seats are way better and more supportive and fit and quality is also much improved. ALso love the carbon fiber accents. I am going to need to pic up the grab bars and door handles in carbon also at some point.

I was totally shocked and liked it soo much better I practically gave away my 06 Turbo S.

Truck has -

9W5 - Bluetooth Phone Interface
9AH - 4-Zone Air Conditioning
7X8 - Rear Camera Incl. Park Asst.
7D7 - 6-disc CD Changer
4F6 - Porsche Entry and Drive
3Y4 - Roll up Sunscreen-1/4 Windows
AEA - Door Entry Guards Illuminated
2JX - Stnless Stl Nose and Tail Trm.
0TD - Front & Rear Flr Mats Int Clr
UF1 - Universal Audio Interface
QV4 - XM Satellite Radio
PO4 - Light Comfort Package/Memory
3FU - Panoramic Roof System

Question should the 2009 Cayenne come with the luggage safety net as it did with the 06? The dealership is telling me it wasnt standard or a factory option . It only was available through tequipment. True?

Anyways the new truck is at Town Porsche in Englewood. I pick it up tomorrow.

Here is a link to pics.

Nice! With the debadging, I think you're going to be leaving a lot of confused looking people in your dust. Only way to tell it's a turbo S from the back would be the tailpipes and I think the backup camera hump. Enjoy in good health!

Nader,
I ran a check on your VIN and the luggage safety net was not included in the original spec of the vehicle.

Guys just catching up after picking the beast up today. Man I absolutely love it. I still cant believe the improvements Porsche made from the 2006 Turbo S. Like night and day from the power, the smoothness, the suspension, the interior details, the seats, the exterior upgrades, and the PCM setup.

I managed to get the guys to take the safety net out of mine and put it in my new one.

I dont have any plans for mods at least for now. On my 06 I did have cat bypass pipes and intakes. While there was a noticeable increase in power, I did like to hear all the diverter valve noise and air suspension flatulance. haha. I did however like the new exhaust note. I may install them in the future if they fit. I will have pics tomorrow.

Nader, congrats man! Love the color!

If you don't mind me asking, how bad was the trade in on the 06? I read you said you "practically gave it away" but just curious if that means low/mid/high 20's/30's.... I know Cayennes have a bad trade in value and high resale.

Also, did you take off any parts or have any leftovers from yours? My 06 needs some toys!!!

Again, congrats on the purchase!
Nik

Low 30's. But I saved on tax and the truck needed breaks and some other work. Wound up working out.

Interesting you mentioned parts, I have cat bypass pipes and intakes. Make me an offer. Oh also have Porsche trailer hitch plug with Porsche crest.

Congrats and this is the kind of feedback that's appreciated as I consider moving to the 957 platform as well.
