Cayenne S dfi Rev-limiter

Hello,
Could somebody please tell me when does the stock rev-limiter hit on a 957 Cayenne S (4.8lt dfi)

Thanks!

I would have to check to confirm, but I believe it should be the same as the Cayenne Turbo DFI since it is the same engine (minus a few tweaks and turbos) - which is 6700 RPM. When idling, the CTT is limited to 4000 RPM.

EDIT: Just checked a couple of Porsche MY08 technical specs for the complete Cayenne lineup. Cayenne S rev-limiter is indeed 6700 RPM as well.

Hello. Thanks for the reply. It seems however that the 2012 Cayenne GTS has a 6700RPM rev-limit and I think that the GTS limiter is increased compared to the S (or not?).
The reason I'm asking is that I flashed my 2008 Cayenne S (FVD) and I logged the car with Durametric. I managed to log a 6720RPM rev-limiter in 2nd gear. If 6700RPM is stock then my car's limiter has not been increased.

Lets take step back... why do you want to increase the rev-limiter? The porsche document states that max power is made around 6000 RPM for your Cayenne S. This means that from 6000-6700 RPM it is LOSING peak power, where the curve is declining. If you have the stock cam profile, then you would NOT want to increase the rev-limiter and would prefer it to shift gear to get back to the peak powerband, 3500 - 6000 RPM.
