Getting under driver's seat
I dropped a side of my glasses frame down on the right side of my driver's seat. How can I get under it to get my glasses ear piece?
Thanks in Advance |
Have you tried moving the seat to it's farthest back position? And than position the seat to the hightest upward position? I dropped my iphone many times on the side and that's how I retracted the iphone.

Maybe use the procedure to get to the battery?
|
I agree. Use the battery removal procedure. I purchased the 10mm triple square from Advance for about $11. Came with 3 different sizes. Here's the link for removing the battery.. Very clear directions. https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...guide-diy.html

Thanks for that link; that's my only option--getting under the seat.

Unless you get a good flashlight and maybe on of those reachy devices that elder people use to get stuff off high shelves. I think they are called extension grabbers.

If the side of your glasses that is missing is made of metal and ferrous, you can try a telescoping magnetic tool for dropped bolts/nuts in engine bays.

careful removing those capscrews
I got the first capscrew out, the second one got stripped. Some gorilla must have tightened it. Anyway, it took another 6 hours to Dremmel my way across the head to get it out in one piece with an angled prybar. Ridiculous. Chewed up some carpet too. Why are Porsches expensive? Have you seen the amount of metal holding the battery in? It is a german work of art. Seriously over engineered.

It's a nightmare if you drop something under the seat. I almost lost my iPhone...

skinny wife or girlfriends hand
|
The bolts tend to rust.. In order for me to remove the stripped bolt, I had to apply heat to the bottom of the bolt and loosen the rust.. It avoided me ruining the rug and saving time..

wives normally don't equal skinny. Use the mistress instead...
