Speaker question for Cayenne

I have 2006 Cayenne S and I think my driver front door speaker may be blown. What would be a sound sign of that being right and what is the best way to fix this? It is a Bose system. Thanks in advance guys

If it's really blown then you'll have to replace it. I would expect a blown speaker to have poor sound quality, especially during high volume or high bass usage. I have heard of speaker assemblies loosening in the door, causing them to vibrate in the door during use. If this is the case, then you can simply tighten and secure the speaker to fix the problem. Unfortunately, you can only diagnose this by removing the door panel.
