porsche loaners..

i just don't get it.. you come in driving a porsche and drive out driving some crappy enterprise rental.. WTF!!

so how does these porsche dealership determine if they'd give you a p-car as a rental?

i've been it MB and BMW dealerships and they'll give you an MB and BMW loaners -- regardless of what type of service you go in for (oil change, etc) warranty or not.. is it because MB and/or BMW have cheaper 'entry level' cars for loaners compared to the p-car entry level cars?

i've scheduled my service a week ago.. still pi$$ed!

My experience with LA dealer is if they have a P car loaner then you get it. If not the enterprise guy told me I could request a vehicle and they will get in in 1hr no extra cost. Worth talking to the enterprise guy/ girl next time you end up getting sent there for a vehicle.

That's surprising to hear you're still getting stuck with random Enterprise rentals at the dealer. The Enterprise on the dealer lot in Pasadena, CA within the last year got rid of all their old loaners (Cayenne's and two Caymans I think) and picked up 20 (maybe more) Panamera and Panamera 4's. Haven't gotten anything but Porsche loaners in the last year and a half except for a Ford one time when they ran out (before the Panamera switchover). Even at that time, I heard that a dealer employee got into a lot of hot water for loaning the non-P-car out. So I thought PCNA was done tightening up loaner regs a while back already. Cooincidentally, it appears that the Enterprise rate charged to the dealer for a Panamera is $100/day.
