2010 GTS ipod/iphone wont hook up to stereo?

I Watched some you tube vids, showing how to hook your iphone so you could play music on the stock stereo. I have my iphone connected blue tooth to make calls but can't get it to hook up bluetooth or with the USB cord to play music? All the cord will do is charge it. What am I missing? Thanks

Hard to say without knowing what stereo system you have. However, many require you to activate an "auxiliary" setting after you connect the auxiliary component to listen to it. Otherwise, tethering it will only charge. Try your sound system owner's manual. It should be covered there.

If it's factory there were only a couple of options. If it's aftermarket, the make and/or model number will be on the face or back of the unit. Check your sound-system instruction book for the model or look on your build sheet.
