New Cell Mount on Handle in Cayenne from Ram Mounts

I recently found a very convenient mount and for 32 bucks off amazon and 3$ next day delivery, Im ranking this 3rd best mod for my 06 base.

Very ergonomic, like a 3rd hand in the rig, OK Google works great even with Stereo on with Nexus 5. Easy to make a few selections and keep eyes on the road.

If you want a window mount or Dash they sell those too.......Happy modding.

I just got the Ram version with the 2 zip ties that hold it. I also mounted on the passenger side. Wow what a great product!!! I am pretty impressed.

Good deal! Did the ziptie version come with a rubberized ziptie style to prevent indentation?

That is why I did the fatter tightening band with the rubberized inside strip.

Pictures would be great to add!

Yes it comes with a sheet of rubber that goes under the zip ties. Really nice set up. I went with the zip ties, because it looked cleaner .. meaning looks like that handle clip might stick out. The zip ties, after they are trimmed, are completely flush.

There is a downside to the zip tie method ... I have to cut the ties to take off the mount. I am guessing you just unclip the one you have.

Just as a FYI for 10 bucks you can buy the RAM EZ-Strap Mount separately if you don't like the zip ties.......or just use more .02 cent zip ties.

To unzip mine, you just press the button to lift it off the EZ-Strap tracks and move the placement.

Amazon-you already have the ball portion, just swap out the GARMIN one in it.

RAM EZ-Strap(TM) Mount with Short RAM-to-Garmin Double Ball Arm
$10.391

I do not have the same hardware as you do, and can not convert to the clip. I called RAM Mounts today to confirm. I have the handlebar kit, which does not have a ball. They use a different base without the ball for mine.

My thought process when I bought it, was that I thought the clip would stick out. I wanted it to be as non obtrusive as possible. This unit sits closer to the base than the clip model, which was better for my set up. What I gave up, was that I have to cut off the zip ties to remove the entire unit. I can easily unhook the bracket, leaving only a very small base. Also, I wanted to mount mine on the passenger side, and thought this one had a smaller base ... which I think it does, than the clip unit.

I mounted mine on the Drivers side, and removed the ez mount strap that it came with and added a velcro wire organizer strap in it's place. Looks much cleaner & easier to remove & replace & will not cause indentations.

Great, Glad you could find them.
The EZ strap was just too much in the way, with the extra length due to pull ring at the end.

Great mod guys, I am going to grab some. I adjusted mine higher up and got the pull tab interfering with my ability to work the manual/auto shifter
