I drove my 04 Cayenne Turbo this morning and it started sputtering when I hit the gas while leaving my neighborhood. When I hit the gas in drive or neutral it sputters like it is either not getting gas or is not firing correctly. It idles ok. Any thoughts? I'm thinking either fuel pumps or coils?

 

my is an 04 turbo too. It was bad primary fuel pump and bad fuel. Fault the plugs. So I replaced pretty much the whole fuel system. Fuel pumps, filter, and regulator, new plugs and new coils. She's running like new again.

When you have it all apart believe me its better do just do it all. All the tubes and all the parts that need to be remove for the job. It was a need to do it once only job.

 

When is the last time you changed the coils? Mileage? It does sound like a fuel problem though.

 

Best to check the fuel pressure and have plugs and coils look at.
