Heated Seats pre-installed?

My wife's Cayenne did not come with the heated seat option. I've seen a couple of threads talking about the possibility that the seats are pre-wired from the factory with the control module being the "optional part".

I looked under her seats tonight and saw that there are big "blocks" of open connectors underneath (can't seem to think of the right term here). Basically looks like the female side of multi-pin connectors under there. I was wondering if anyone on here knew what these were (of course hoping they're heated seat modules).

That's the seating position control unit. Different plugs are used depending on if the seats have memory and heat. The heated seat control unit however, is separate and looks a lot like a standard relay. Seat wiring harnesses are different as well between models with and without heated seats.
So, best case scenario, if all of the seats did come from the factory with heating elements installed (and I don't believe they did), you'd need to buy modules and harnesses for both seats, which would set you back around $350-$400.

Thanks! Seems like allot of extra "ports" for just the heater module. I think that's the only feature we're missing on the seats. I think I remember the relay for the heater on my old Audi, you're right it was basically a standard block relay.
