D1S Conversion Kit for 955 HID CT
D1S Conversion Kit for 955 HID CT
Guys, has anyone wired up an aftermarket xenon D1S setup into the 955 Cayenne?
The Valeo ballast I heard are sensitive to aftermarket bulbs. Each ballast is like $300 a piece and you can get D1S HID kits for like $30 for two ballast, two bulbs and wire etc.
Anyone know how to tap into the wiring for the 12pin portion of the head light setup?

I just ordered a $300 ballast. Swapped the working drivers side bulb and the passenger side still does not turn on. The bulb from the non working passenger side was swapped to the drivers side and the drivers side still works.
Then we tested the high beams and only the passenger side works and the drivers side doesn't work...
Then when the driver's side low beam didn't work we pressed down on the headlamp assembly and the hid light turned on....

Connection problems with the headlights are a common issue for the 955. There was a TSB issued for this problem because the headlight mounting bracket becomes loose and the connection is compromised. There are 10mm bolts on the front of the bracket that loosen up with time/use. Try tightening them and then seating the headlight assembly properly. Hopefully this will fix your issue.
