HVAD - It's a heart pump (TURBO) implanted into heart to provide circulation back to one side of heart when it is not strong enough to keep you alive. It is left there until heart transplant, heart heals or for the life of patient....which ever occurs first. Wishing you a strong recovery! Here is a video:
