New rims/tail lights finally on
Before
After
Side profile showing the concave design
LED tail lights, replaced the OEM due to a bad seal, lots of water/condensation in the one.
Side profile showing how far they sick out
Close up on the rim
So after much issues fitting these rims (ended up needing a >8mm spacer in the front despite what the supplier and manufacturer said) and major shipping issues getting the spacers here on time, I got them mounted.
Excuse the cleanlieness of the vehicle and rims. I was excited to have it done.
Since these pictures I also took the time to do the clear side markers.
I'm pretty happy with the ride and fitment of the tires, I may be doing 15mm in the rear to bring out the rear a bit more but what do you guys think?
Where did you get your wheels from, I'm in Calgary and shipping from the states is pricey not to mention the duty. I was looking for a decent Canadian source.
I have the same colour and year and i'm thinking of de chroming the pillars.
I was thinking that it was already a little too wide. Congrats on the refreshed look though.

I know there is a bylaw in Alberta about tinting your front windows, not sure how stringently it's enforced, but the same goes for tinting your lights too and the OP doesn't seem too bothered about that

I got the wheels from a place down in Montreal, Plaza Motorsports. They were 1 of 2 suppliers in Canada for these rims. I don't recommend them at all.
I'm curious what de-chroming the pillars looks like.
Renaissance.Man, mrbrianc, uoL24: Do you feel the wheel arch extensions might clean up and balance the offset then? If so, where's the best bet to find these things? I know Suncoast has some. I also know there was a factory option for them too?
I was looking at doing them but I found so many that seems to sort of "tie" in to a skirt or wide body kit that I wasn't too keen on doing.
Oh and thanks all for the feedback, positive, negative, or neutral is always good. Gives me some ideas.

The new rims look like cool wheels.
I'm planning on restoring my original wheels.
Maybe I'm getting old but honestly I prefer stock just because they're lighter, handle better and make the truck faster.

You're quite right winter, I'm not too worried about the tint nor the smoked design on the tail lights. I wouldn't go any darker on the front windows despite having 1/2 my family in law enforcement, I'd rather pull that card on a speeding ticket.

I found the HRE to be too boring, and hadn't heard of Vorestiner until now. I wanted a multi-piece wheel with more than the typical 5 or 12 spoke design. I honestly don't find the Cayenne to be an elegant automobile, it's not a classic, which is why I went with something a little different. I'm sorry, what do you mean by "tire/rim setup looks off portion... "all wise", IMO" ? A colloquial term I'm unfamiliar with?
Bama, I rather dislike seeing slammed SUV's, or any truck as well. It all comes down to personal preferences eh? I have the sidemarkers done just a day after this picture. I can't tint any further on the front as it's a bylaw in our traffic act and they're pretty big on that up here.
Enilder, unfortunately the previous owner wasn't too kind with how he parked in downtown Montreal and around the rest of Quebec with the stock rims, in the short amount of time he owned this truck he really.... really chewed them up (close-up pictures look horrible). I took these to a wheel restoration company and they wanted around $1200 to re-surface, repair and make them look brand new. That's what 2 new rims would cost me and I would have had the downtime of not having a vehicle (or having to buy 2 stock rims/tires in the meantime while it was being repaired) so I opted to do this and make the stock ones my winter rims. I'm still going to repair them and make them look gorgeous again, perhaps go with a matte black or something. When it's darker you can only see the brushed spokes and the black ones seem invisible, looks pretty sharp.
