Brother's comment on Cayenee was if you drive one you are just paying for the Porsche Logo on it. He drove a Ford Exploder and currently drives a Ford Escapé.

Gave him a ride when I got my 04 CS. Before we got 1 block he said this doesn't ride like an SUV, it rides like a Car, No...a Sports Car. Think it changed his mind about the whole paying for the name thing.

Hey I'm 74 have a 2012 997 S Cab and a 2015 Cayenne S on order.
A lot of people who own these cars are not car guys. They just don't get it.
I have been building hot rods and driving hot cars for almost 60 years.
I'm interested in cars that I will enjoy and could care less what anyone else thinks.
I have to admit there was a time when I had no use for 911's I owned a Corvette.
Then I went to buy a new car and test drove a 996 there was just no comparison so I bought my first Porsche. I will also admit that the Cayenne didn't interest me until I drove one off road and on the track at the Porsche Driving School. Bye Bye 4 Runner here comes Cayenne.

I wouldn't even worry about it. We love them and that's all that matters. We got your back.

Hey

Yeah just don't get why they say there is no point in having one? Why because you can put five people, tow, and off-road. I thought the cayenne is what turned it around for porsche and saved them from bankruptcy? I also thought it is there number one selling car? You would think there wouldn't be any negative comments besides the coolant pipes lol which I still have the plastic ones at 75,000 miles. Good to see allot off other porsche owners that still appreciate the cayenne along with there other Porsches. I can tell some don't know much when they thought I had a modified motor to have 520 hp.

I would much rather be able to show off to a group of friends at one time vs a group of friend.

Let's just say I had a privilege of talking to some of these "purists" at show and one of them asked what kind of make is my car? trying to be funny and I replied it's the new "Ferrari" at a Porsche meet. I then had the awesome opportunity to catch a few of them on the freeway when leaving. Let's just say it didn't go well for them. It kinda of ended the question of why a Cayenne needs that much power!
