Advice on PPI for 2009 Cayenne Turbo S

I sold the 996TT, guess I'll have to change my 6Speed tag. In any event, I'm looking to possibly purchase a 2009 Cayenne Turbo S - 38K miles.

I'm having a PPI done this week and would like your advice on things to ask the Porsche Tech to look for during the inspection. This is a CPO SUV, all service is current, I've looked at all service history and nothing looks unusual. Seller has agreed to do the 40K major service during the PPI including new spark plugs.

Thanks in advance for PPI advice.

Run the VIN and they will tell you if it has any outstanding recommended repairs (forget the exact terminology). Besides that, the only thing that comes to mine right now is the cardon shaft bushing.

There should be a few threads out there about what to look for when buying a 957 Cayenne Turbo. All of the same would apply here. Overall, they are very solid and do not have many major pain points.

My pano roof started creaking loudly around 40k miles. Probably not much to inspect if it's not making noise, but just try paying close attention to the front headliner area when going over bumps / rough surfaces.

Yep, pano roof will squeak eventually. Cardan shaft on these is supposed to be stronger than the regular turbo. Should hold up for you until at least 80k, but probably more.

Check the cooling system for leaks. Also check the pdcc and oil pan for leaks and all around that general area.

My 09 had a creaky pano roof as well, lucky for me it was a simple fix (small piece of felt on the driver's side).

I posted a thread about it here some time ago, if you do find it creaking, it *might* be a simple fix. Since fixing mine, it has not been bad at all.
