What's next after 20K service.

I had my 20K service done several days ago, along with getting snow tires mounted and balanced, an alignment, new wiper blades, and several TSBs performed. The only thing I can find in the manual about the next service is the 40K service.

I put approximately 20K miles / year on my car. Hard to understand how I do this, as my commute to work involves getting out of bed and walking down a flight of stairs into my home office, but I do.

Is there something which needs to be done prior to the 40K service? I have to believe that there there are some things like brake pads which will wear out prior to 40K.

Also, is it a good idea to rotate the tires every 5K miles? I did not use snow tires last winter. My summer tires lasted the 20K miles, but will have to be replaced when the snow tires come off this spring. I was very careful about keeping proper tire pressure in them, but did not rotate them, as the dealer said it was not necessary.

I have not rotated my tires on the 22" and I have put around 5k miles or more to it. You have to look at how worn the tires are. I already did my brakepads around 12-14k when I changed my rotors, 40k service is long way to go and I think you will need more than that, I am not 100% sure.
