Most powerful S?

Has anyone seen a CS making power in the 400+? Stock power is rated at 340 and I imagine it shouldn't be too hard to get 400. I will try and do everything I can to have the most powerful S around since I am past the return point on money invested So far I've done the usual things like remove the cats with a full exhaust and intake. An ECU tune is on the way as well as methanol injection but I'm curious if there is anything else I haven't thought of.

I want to say 390-400 is about as high as I have seen on paper. Its one of the discouraging things about not having turbos.

Ummm... 400? Wheel horsepower or crank? I have a 957 with bypass pipes, cat back, and intakes and I put down 305 wheel horsepower. I don't think you'll get past 330 awhp... On a good day.

400 crank, I should have specified. Not having turbos is truly discouraging. I think I will be looking to trade up now...

Yeah it sucks. But honestly it's still a pretty quick truck. It's just not a 0-60 truck. Its a highway cruiser. I've pulled/stayed even with brand new (stock) Audi s4s and 550xi

I mean you could always do the motodyne supercharger kit.

Google "Motodyne Robert Back"

Unfortunatly for the "S" owners, your stuck with high compression and cast pistons. I think Cams would be the best logical step and Nitrous could take you there but not on cast pistons and custom ground cams would be a poor return on your $ unless you went all in, in which case it would probably be best to start with a turbo model. I would say be happy with what you have or get a turbo and some of my custom headers/big turbo's:-)

The 30 - 70 mph range is pretty good, but after that there isn't much pull. I guess I am now on the hunt for a 957 turbo

Not sure what kind of budget you have in mind, but ever think of doing things 'hot rod' style? For instance, upgrading the 4.5L to a 5.1L or even 5.3L. Flat6innovation has a program called Cayenne 'X' where they basically turn the 4.5L into a 'big block'.

For the cost of boring out the stock motor, I would rather sell mine and just buy a turbo. I am still in high school so I don't exactly have the funds to start a big bore project. A good condition 957 turbo can be found in the low 30k's and extra power can be found fairly easily. Tune, exhaust, etc.

If you were going through the trouble of boring out the motor you might as well drop another motor in the thing. Like an LS3 or something atleast you would have replacement parts available. But even then just go get a CTT and be done with it.
