Hi guys, just wanted to share my 1/4 mile time since I was very impressed with it compared to the other times I've seen on here. I have the Softronic Tune done by Scott and diverter valves and FabSpeed secondary cat bypass installed. This was my first time running so I got scarred near the end of the race and slowed down once I hit 180 kmh thinking I had finished and I still hit 12.3. I ended up doing that twice. I was going to go for another run but the track had closed. Judging by my 1/8 mile time I should have hit 11.7 or 11.8 if I didn't slow down. I plan on going back this spring/summer and setting a record on http://www.dragtimes.com/Porsche--Ca...ag-Racing.html for a Cayenne. I am very happy with my tune that I got done from Scott at Softronic.
Not bad. I think there are a few guys here who have more mods and done a better. Yeah I think you would definitely do better keeping your foot in it. I couldn't read the slip but what was your reaction time? That can make a huge difference too.
I did some racing last year but it wasn't timed. Since I installed some more mods I know I'll do better. Gonna try to make it to the next even with the same group in a couple months.
I installed one of the P3cars gauges and it has a 0-60 timer as one of the display modes. I pulled a high 4.6 the other night. It felt pretty good. And that was with PSM on, with damp road, and on winter tires. Of course it was nice and cool out too so that helps.
Look forward to seeing how you do next time. These things were designed to do 160+ on the top end so it should be very stable at 120 or so.
12.3 is pretty impressive. Can you post any higher resolution of those time slips? You can't really make out what it says there. If I blow it up, it looks like you cut under a 1 sec 60' time on the second slip? If so, then I think there is something amiss here since you should be somewhere in the 1.8 sec range for a Cayenne. Which also doesn't match up with the final trap speed of 104 mph. Or maybe I am just squinting too hard and misreading the information

Reaction time has no effect on ET, the clock doesn't start until the car breaks the beam. Reaction time only comes into play in heads up racing where you are trying to beat the other car 60 foot times make the most difference in the end of the track ET.

I am seeing what you are seeing, looks like a 0.XXX and a 1.0XX 60' time. The best I've seen my Cayenne do was a 1.805 60' time, those 1.0s are something that cars in the 6 second 1/4 mile range would do...
Thanks. I have 22 inch staggered 295/30 in the rear and 265/35 in the front. The reason why I didn't have a good trap speed was I slowed down near the end before I finished the 1/4 mile. I tried uploading a higher res image.
Those 60 foot times are simply impossible .. 2000+ hp cars aren't capable of sub 1 second foot times. My guess is something is wrong with the timing equipment in that lane... The trap speeds at 1/8 and 1/4 looks correct but something is off in the timing.
Obviously a timing error. Your 1/8 mile ET and MPH are no where near in sync. Your 1/8 mile speed matches more with reality as does your 1/4 mile trap speed.
You are more than likely a .8 to a full second slower in ET.
Dizzy, thanks for the higher res pictures. Sorry that the timing equipment looks like it was off at the track that day. Shame on those guys managing the track.
