Hi,

I got a speeding ticket this weekend and would just like to blame the Cayenne. I am in upstate NY and the weather here this past weekend was @#$@#%!! But through the wet, rain, and snow the Cayenne did not for a moment lose its composure - I was doing 90 and 95 over wet roads and did not feel unsafe at all. this was at night and I had my Escort 8500, which I trusted my life to until this ticket. The funny thing is I did hear a chiro from it. I was pulled over from behind - do you think it was the poor rear protection? I am now seriously considering a Valentine 1 and possibly some more high tech stuff (laser / radar jammers) What are your thoughts?

Thanks

Did he say he got you with radar?? If he was behind you and you did not notice him coming up he may have just paced you while he cought up with you. If you were hit directly with radar I would think the 8500 would have done more than just chirp, even though it may have been to late anyway.

I think there is general consensus here that the V1 is better than the Escort 8500....
Also, is your car tinted?? I think metallic pigment tint can reduce a radar's detector ability to detect!!

I meant to say I did not hear a chirp from it, maybe I should go edit that post... nah I'm too lazy

I don't know what he caught me with and my car isn't tinted - oh and I forgot to add that he busted me for not having a front plate (NY) what an AZZ!!
