I have a few questions as I have never owned a Porsche before. Hoping these forums can help me out

1. Would my 2009 UK Spec Diesel Cayenne come with exterior Mirror puddle lights? I can't see any, just wondering if the bulbs may have gone, or if they were a cost option/standard spec?

2. How do I tell if I have Xenon or Halogen headlamps? I think they're Halogen as the light is yellow, but were they standard spec or a cost option?

3. Automatic windscreen wipers appear to be on my car, but not automatic lights. Is this usual?

4. Courtesy lights -when I unlock my car, should I expect the exterior lights to come on at all? They don't. Nor do they stay on for a short while once I've locked my car. Is that normal?

Congrats on your new car!

1) I think they were standard. Look under the side view mirror and see if there's a little circle under them. That's the side view mirror. If you see it, you'll have to pull the side view mirror out (I think, check this) and replace the bulb.

2)you can tell if they're xenon.

3)maybe?

4)in the center display in between the speedo and tach, scroll to the menu section and go to comfort I think. There is a section there about lights. Change it to your liking.

Hi All, I too have just purchased an '09 Cayenne Diesel, as there are so many option permutations, is there away of deciphering the build codes to work out exactly what options were added?

I can work out the obvious, like the power tailgate, 20" Techno wheels, dual air con and black optic pack, and multi media PCM with phone prep etc.

What I am not sure about is whether it should have hillhold as standard, if so it's not working, or whether this was an option.

Sorry for crashing this thread, but thought the answers might be of use to the OP too.
