Hello everyone,
New to this forum but not new to 6speed. I'm considering the purchase of a
2006 Cayenne Base with the 3.2 engine, it has 61k on the clock. I've done some searching and know about a few of the issues, but I wanted to ask for some owner opinions and experiences. The vehicle seems to have quite a few options and was a one owner car. Any tips, what to look for, overall your experience with reliability etc....

Since it has the VW motor in it I don't think you will have any issues other than it being under powered for the Cayenne application. Personally I would look at an CS or a CT.

 

Nothing wrong if you want a decent overland type vehicle with rear/center locking differentials.

I am original owner of a 2006 Cayenne and it's almost at 200k miles. Heres what I do on it over the years.....Oil/Gas/Tires/Cardan Shaft/Valve body transmission/Gaskets replaced/Coils/Plugs/Water Pump/All the plastic lines/Wheel bearings. Over a decade of ownership.

Go over to ECS, create a login, and you can find any part you might need or Advanced Autoparts if you get in a bind.
