Question Hissing sound from front end?

So today after a short drive I went back into my garage after coming home and heard a strange hissing noise coming from the front end.. I couldn't "see" the hissing (tried to spray some windex) but didn't see anything bubble. It sound like it was coming from the radiator in the front just to the left of the license plate. I think is was down to the left possibly on the smaller radiator that is in front of the main radiator.

I left the car in the garage while we went out for the evening and when I got back home no more hissing - I'm guessing because whatever was leaking lost all pressure and is now empty.

I do have the air suspension, but didn't hear any noises coming from the wheel well. It was very apparent that it was in the front.. Now I'm dreading what it could be and how easy it will be to locate/repair..

There was no fluid coming out and no puddles under the vehicle. It sounded like an airleak or something similar to that. Any ideas on what it could possibly be? AC condenser possibly?

By the way if it is the A/C condenser it's actually not too bad to buy a new one. Replacing it could be a whole nother story though, not sure how hard that would be to get to. http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=813-75

I dropped it off at the dealer today.. The A/C felt cool today, but it wasn't a very hot day so really hard to tell. There was a definite loss of pressure somewhere.. They'll check it out and let me know what they find..

There's no way to easily replace it without taking off the front bumper cover, so it's most likely going to be a repair that's labor intensive because of the access...

Well best luck!! Yeah I didn't see an easy way of getting to it.

Diagnosis is confirmed, small hole in the AC condenser. Repair is costly because of the fact that it's buried behind the front bumper cover, so the whole cover has to be removed to get to it. Gotta love those Porsche engineers...bury everything so deep that no one can get to it, including the mechanics!

Ahh, so goes life...

Yeah it sucks when the labor is hugely more than the parts. And it's not like very many Porsche parts are on the cheap list either.

I ended up with the dreaded brake booster fault last night and was looking at what it would take to replace the vacuum line from the pump to the booster. I have no idea but I'm leaning toward they put that part out in mid-air then built the car around it?!? I taped up the crack I found for now until I can do more research.

I just saw a picture of a Panamera tonight explaining that you have to take the front bumper off to replace the air cleaner Who's the genius that thought of that one!?!
