New 2008 Cayenne S owner...Questions

Hello all...I'm a current 2005 Carrera S owner and my wife owns a 2010 Jaguar XF - we are going to be adding a 2008 Cayenne S with 65,000 miles in the next week. My question is should I go for an extended warranty? If so are there certain items that I should look for to be covered? From what I can tell, the Cayenne is a very reliable vehicle...but extended warranty costs are $5000 and up...If I use my 911, which has 87K miles on it, as the standard - it has been very reliable.

Aftermarket Warranty? Or Porsche CPO? Or like a Carmax warranty?

I would say if you can get it for less than $2k it might pay off. Other than that you are paying an awful lot for insurance against something going horribly wrong which, in the grand scheme of things, doesn't happen as often as some might think.

Video

I went with the warranty...having been dropped with the news that I'm going to need a new motor or rebuild mine on my 997S...don't want any other issues. On the hook for 16K for a used motor that can be done in a week or rebuild mine to 4.0L that takes 2 months.
