Post 08 CS iPhone music streaming via BT + Rear view Camera add on

Hello All, its my first post and thanks for any kind of help.
I have read old threads about the topic of iphone integration and the rear view camera add on, mostly older threads and I hope to find out more recent experiences.
So I do already Have Tooki BT kit installed as well as the Sat. radio.
I did not try yet streaming the Apple music via the tooki BT phone connection but I am sure as indicated by others the sound quality is bad.

I am looking to add any iphone/ipad solution to be able to stream iphone 6S+/7+ music through the PCM " I have the Bose system", so I am looking for recommendations please.

Also looking to add a rear view camera to the setup , so also looking for recommendations as well.

The nearest City is Vancouver BC so hope that someone know of a good experience shop/installer.
Thanks

Hey marinerbc, I did a sizeable amount of research on this topic too when I bought my CS.

I ultimately decided on the Dension Gateway 500S BT
http://www.dension.com/automotive/pr...ateway-500s-bt

I did the instal myself, luckily I had the wiring for the CD Chnager in the back (but no changer) and using the optical cables provided mounted it in the back. Connection is flawless and quality is amazing, no issues.

We did try the install behind the headunit but due to the Bose system and optical setup the looping procedure became too time consuming.

Let me know if you have any questions I can send some pics. I'm in North Van and bought the unit on eBay for reference.

Hello Dino,
thanks for the information and help, I looked at the Dension gateway it is pretty good, however my current setup and future objective will not allow me to use it effectively .
as I have already BT via the Nav-TV tooki as well as the SAT. radio.
I spoke with Ruben at Sounds good in Burnaby over the phone , but will have to drop by for him to see what I have before going ahead with the upgrade to see what are my option/s.
And it looks like I have two options to choose from :-

1- Get some sort of iPod/iPhone wired interface and leave the current BT as is.
then add the back up camera, then will have to pay the dealer to activate it.
2-Remove the PCM and replace it with this unit

But not sure if I can keep my SAT antenna, also will have to buy this
http://www.dynavinamerica.com/Dynavi...sories/N6-MOST
to keep the factory amplifier.

I can even sell that PCM/DVD Nav. and the Nav-TV BT to reduce the upgrade cost a bit.
I live up the sunshine coast and hope to be in vancity on Wednesday for the day to sort it out .

Since you have more experience with this more than me , what do you think?
Thank you

Hey no worries, looks like you have done just as much research.

I guess it comes down to what you are looking to get out of the system. I wanted to keep everything as stock as possible. I played with the idea of changing the headunit but I'm also old-school in the sense of keeping things original. The unit works well with the original PCM and it allows for steering wheel functions to work also.

Let me know what you end up doing I'd be interested to hear how it all looks and works.

Decided to go with the Pioneer AVIC8200NEX instead, will use the scosche harness kit to keep the factory Bose system as well as steering controls. I would loved to keep the PCM 2.1 however cost/benefit to add the streaming video is too much for that function, since also I am looking to upgrade the head rest Vizulogic screens/DVD players for the kids. hope to have it installed by the end of next month and will post pictures and feedback.
