Question: Cayenne GTS (957) brake rotor system




Hi guys, I'm going to get a 2008 Cayenne GTS and I found out the brake rotor and pads needs to be change. My friend told me that this specific GTS front rotors are very expensive, beside performance is it possible to replace a normal 380mm rotor? thank you.

I agree that the 2 piece rotors are very expensive, I've heard 4 times cost of normal rotors
I haven't done it, but I believe it should be possible. Best option would be to find a dealer who stocks both and measure them up.

I think it depends on what you are using the GTS for. There are multiple OEM suppliers for the cayenne. Drilled rotors do cost more, but are not required. The rotors that came stock do just fine stopping the menacing beast. I would look at some other OEM options like brembo or pagid. I recently did my front rotors (brembo), pads (Hawk HPS), sensors and new bolts for under $500.
