Mod a used turbo or get the new turbo S?
I am trying to decide if I should buy a used turbo and modify or go new and get the turbo S. What kind of power/torque can I get in the aftermarket??

You'll be wasting money if you mod a turbo S. Get a used one and mod the hell out of it, and make sure you install the big brake kit that comes with the turbo S. I think that Carnewal sell it seperatly.

Go used. You can get over 600hp with the right setup. Swap turbos, exhaust, intakes, software, intercoolers.
You could get a 2004 turbo for around $65K and drop $30K in it and run off and leave a turbo S. You could send it to RuF and get 570HP for $30K or piece together your own setup and probably get over that for the same money or less.

For a daily driver, just get a regular Turbo and mod the hell out of it. The premium you will be paying for the S (for a daily driver) is not worth it IMO.

I am not sure I was supposed to be in Vail skiing starting Monday and it got cancelled one of my friends is sick, so we are putting it off however I am moving Feb 14th and have alot of stuff to do so its a real maybe..Michelle had asked me this also so I may run up Friday and come back Saturday, however I have done that drive way too many times in the last 10 years and it stinks!
