Ditched the PZero's on 22's
 

The annoying vibration and scare of wheel damage FINALLY forced me to swap tires on the 22's .....Went from the Perelli PZERO 295/30/22 to the Nitto NT55 285/35/22......They ride MUCH better and have more sidewall rubber not to mention virtually no vibration over 70mph......the first pic are the perelli's, second the Nitto's and the third is a quick clean after the Mother's Powerball which cut my wheel cleaning time in HALF!!!!

What made you decide on Nittos vs. 285/35W/R22 (106W) BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 Tires? Did you also have a bad experience with BFs?

The tire store i went to actually had these in stock....and i had read good things about them....and i knew that this was the correct tire size V what i had on before....Also they ride SOOOO much better than the PZERO's ......however the tread on the BFG's are soooo sick....and i rock BFG's all terrain's on my 02 Tahoe and Jeeps.....but it was a matter of what was available ASAP.....

Wow am I glad kyle from the tirerack recommended I not go with the 295/30/22 Pzero's for my 22x10's. I too went with the BFg's.

That's because Pirelli recommends that their 295 is not put on any wheel less than 10.5" wide. The sidewalls are overstressed to do so.

Does it matter if you order the tire in an XL rating to handle the extra weight of the cayenne or is that only important when you have a larger sidewall?

I was told to order a tire with an XL load rating for my 18" turbo wheels. The stronger sidewall helps on cornering and overall driveability.

My Pirelli Pzero's should be in today...hope I didn't make the wrong decision.

hey codey, you're gonna love them. Very sticky, very smooth... mileage won't be terribly long... but they rock. Please post your opinion after mounting them up!

XL tires will always help. Better cornering ability and load capacity.

hey damon, ot... but have you heard about 22" OZ Giotto III wheels? They're available in Europe. About 850 euros.

40 in front, 42 rear. Same size.

Are the wheels a big sacrifice in performance? They look more geared towards off roading/rougher pavement as opposed to performance.

The TireRack IS OZ America now, so if they are made, I should be able to get them.
