Almost tire time on the CTT.......What should I get?

I have Michelin Diamaris (20") right now. Are these the best as far as all around tire is concerned? I am not really happy with the amount of wear I have seen (about 7k on them and they are probably within 1K of being at the wear marks). Would anyone care to share their experience with "the other guys"? Continental, Pirelli, etc.?

Looking to buy from tirerack more than likely.

our S came with Michelin Diamaris. went to Conti @ about 16,000 miles. did u rotate them at all? Conti's ride was not very comfortable & the handling was not as good as Michelin. it got pretty noisy through out half tire life. went to Pirelli Pzero Rosso @ about 40,000 miles. so far so good. was a big improvement from Conti to Pzero Rosso in both handling & ride comfort but i expect those to get loud later cuz all Pzero's like that.

if u want to try something different go with Pirelli. overall Michelin is the best of both world in terms of comfort & handling.

Thanks Arling. I did rotate the tires once so far. The alignment has been checked and shows to be to spec. IMHO its not really a money thing. I dont have a problem paying the extra for the Michelins if they are truly the best. I guess I just wanted to make sure that I was not missing out on something.
