Questions on Keyless Start

I am trying to dig up some details on the keyless starts option. I do not have a vehicle available right now to look at myself, but my recolection is that it is simply a plastic-like key that stays in the ignition and will not start the vehicle unless you have the master key in close proximity, ie...the non-master does not have the immobilizer chip in it.

My questions are:

1. is it indeed removable and leaves just a regular ignition, and if so;
2. does anybody know the part number?

-Thanks in advance...

Yes you are correct with the description..it is removable from the ignition... I have a buddy that had to order another kevlar key.. so I will check with him on the part number.. Does your T-egg have that option, or your just trying to see if the kevlar key works.

The T-reg has the keyless entry but not keyless start. I'm hoping the cayenne kevlar key will fit and add this function w/o too much trouble.

Thanks
