Cayenne Turbo running warm?

Hey guys,

I was driving a client's Cayenne Turbo the other day and noticed that her tempature gauge is constantly running around 200 degrees or a little bit right of center on the temp guage whenever in city traffic. I have never noticed this befroe on any CTT that I have driven over the past couple of years. Is this a common occurence on the Turbo? What tempatures do most members here run in normal city traffic? Any info you could provide is much appreciated.

On a side note, the ethanol is also making this car run like crap. Just like every other car i have driven since this change the CT has a hard time starting and has no extra pop to it along with a 2mpg drop in mileage.

180-185 for my CT...if it's real hot and stop and go, I would expect 200 degrees to be normal. Under normal driving shout be a 180. Check the coolant resorvoir...the car does lose coolent over time...

Thanks Rockitman, I will give it a look over next time it is in. I was assuming the coolant light would come on immediately if coolant was being lost. But maybe Porsche is more lenient on that then other brands.

Just a short followup on this. Tunred out the car needed new coils. The plastic had cracked on the old ones. Car runs much better now and a bit cooler.
