Another brake problems... plz help...
I just got back from my dealer 3 weeks ago,and they told me my brake is good till next services, which is another 30K kms..... my car's mileage is currently at 33K kms. i haven't done any of the brake pad or rotor changes yet. but the stopping noise is getting worst and worst. and by my visual check, the pads are very low.. i wonder how you guys do on your brakes, how many Kms we have to change them, and is that ok if i just change the pads right now, and leave the rotors for another 20k kms? any advice will help, thx so much.
ohh,,, the brake change price in Vancovuer is 300 dollars for pads, and 600 dollars for rotors,50 dollars for sensors... labour=your choice....
thx

it's hard to say. totally depends on ur driving style. normally the pads can last easily 20k miles & rotors can last way longer than that. however, don't let pads burn through. change the pads early can save u some rotors life. u should be able to see if the rotors need to be replaced.
good luck.
good luck.
I agree with Arling. Change the pads and save your rotor life. Much more economically sound way to go. As far as mileage, most of my clients need brakes in the turbo around 20-25k miles. So you are right there.
thx guys... yeah,, i am just about there 33k kms(21k miles)... well, i think i will change the pads first to see how it gos.but i still want to know the aproxm life for rotors, because its kind of hard for me to tell how low they are right now, 1mm/2mm?? thx
