Hey Guys,
Just wondering if anybody has ever heard about the transmission either slipping or stuttering during downshifts? I experienced it this weekend in my wife's car and am very conscerned about her driving it around with the kids. The car is a v6....

 

yes i have..i have the v6 mine does it quiet often its a hard or rough shift like jerks you kind of hard...ive been to the dealer they said its normal (personally i dont think its normal) maybe you could take it to your dealer and see what they tell you....i would be much interested to know.

Had a similar problem but it was only from 4-3 or 3-2. I was told its not a mechanical issue and dealer had to redo software as there is some convertor that is lagging the actual shifting of the gear and the noise is from that convertor (cant rememebr the exact name)

 

I just spoke with the service manager today and this is a known problem. They are going to try a ECU flash first then if that doesn't work will pull the tranny and start from there. Good thing is this is covered under warantee. I'll keep you guys posted. The rennlist article proved to be very helpful when I was speaking with the SM.

On a side note... I stopped by a dealer last night to see what kind of deals can be had right now. If you are in the market for a Cayenne now might be the time to buy. The incentives they have are very attractive...
