Safe to replace 5W bulbs for 10W bulbs (license plate lights)?
Thinking of getting these: http://www.eautoworks.com/html/ORD-1-1-1-2067.cfm for the rear license plate lights.
However, I noticed that the wattage on these bulbs are 10W while the OEM stock one is 5W. Is this safe? Will the connector burn/melt because of the higher wattage? Please advice. Thank you.

Definitely darker not brighter, dont want to help the traffic cops catch you!
Sorry thsiao I found a website that notes that the Ampage will increase by 2 times if you change from 5w to 10w which takes you from .8amps to 1.6 amps.
I dont know however if that will harm the wires. Over to the experts for that.
I had a look around to see what you could do and came up with the same supplier you got your LED's from which I would have thought would work?
Good luck!
