I have now altered my Adjustable lowering links some 5 times and the latest setting is about as good as I think I am going to get it. I have screwed the link out 6 turns at the front and 5.5 turns at the back and it is 'OK' but not brilliant. That equates to 1" all around approx. It gets you a slightly lower stance from normal but with 22" wheels the ride is not great and thats in Comfort mode. I guess if you live in Germany or Holland where the roads seem to be very smooth it would be OK. In UK the roads are terrible and its only a matter of time that the wheels suffer a dent.
Think I may just take them off and put it down to experience! Hope anyone else trying them has more luck than me.

Yes I do.First attempts were to low and uncomfortable.latest levels to get some comfort are hardly worth doing.

I have mine set much lower than yours, I am actually going to reset them when my wheels get here and take them as low as the car will go before tripping the "Warning Air Supsension" error. Right now I am on the 265/40/20 stock tires, but I honestly don't think the ride will change than much with the 295/30/22.

It also may be the case that I am used to the worst ride quality ever, coming from japanese cars and coilovers. Doesn't hurt having pretty near perfect roads where I live in Florida.

 

Your probably right but at $500 each in the UK I think I may leave it. I have been thinking I might just put my 20" Sport Techno's on with spacers to set them out a bit? Dont know what width to put on through?

 

so there are other options to lower a cayenne with air suspension besides the Gemballa/Techart/Rinspeed lowering modules??? This is news to me....

 

Yes pricey, but i have the abillty to buy right the first time..

 

I am interested in getting some spacers as well.. seems like a search doesn't turn up much information either.

nope no warning lights. it "tricks" the car into believing that it is higher than it actually is.

 

Only $225? If this is so cheap and easy to install and adjust why do people get the complicated and expensive modules that you have to cut wires etc... ?

 

because you can turn off the module and not be lowered, you can't turn off the links. this doesn't matter for me as no one takes notice that the car is lowered when you put it in Normal or even Terrain mode.

you only get warning lights if you adjust the links to make the suspension go too low, there are no lights when installed. there is a lot of negative camber (depending how low you go) and I don't think there is much stock adjustment to correct this.

 

Hey, I'm still trying to get good pics of mine..I have them at 8 turns up front and 8.5 in the back...My loading level hangs up a bit because it sits on the bumpers.. I love it.. My 2nd level makes the ride bumpy with my 22 oz's and I live in chicago so that is as bad as it gets. I essentially dropped each level 1 step...so you can drive in loading mode with the links which fool the computer into thinking it's in level 2..
they are awesome because you really don't have to spend more than 10 minutes to adjust them..the only tough part is finding them on the rear axle...once you do that they are a breeze to install.
