315's On A Cayenne

Do any of you know if 315-40-20 Michelin Diamaris would fit on my Cayenne. I have the 20" Sporttechno wheels now, and I would really like to bump up to a wider tire than my 275-40. Does anyone have any pictures of this, and does any one know if my sporttechno wheels are wide enought to withhold a 315 tire? Thanks for your help...

that's too wide!

renntech36 Apr 17, 2004 09:18 PM

yeah? I really want to go wider, and it is driving me crazy. I know plenty of guys around here that run a 295-40, but we had a Burgundy Cayenne come in with 315 sereis tires on a BBS 21" wheel, and it looked so awesome. It made me want a wider tire very bad. As of now, the 275's and sporttechno wheels dont give the offset I want, as I like the vehicle to look very wide and to have stance. Right now, it is like a toreuag, which is fine, but it's not a sports car! :(

consider a set of spacer if u really want to go wider.

I think 315 will be fine. Do you know what's the lowest offset I can go without poking out form under the fender. It comes with et57, I found a 22 wheel with a et28 that I want. I know it will be more aggressive but I dont want them sticking out from under the car. I know techart makes spacers for their et55 22's up to et18 making the offset et37. What do you think?

assume u mean 315/35-20, as i don't know any tire in 315/40-20 available.

going with 315 will not give u the offset u want & if u have to have it, spacer is the only right way. as for the wheel u have now is only 9'' wide, trying to fit 315 on it is simply doe not make any sense & won't work properly.

Jamy,
i can get it in few days.

let see here:

for ur own safety, please don't try :)

the minium width of 315 is 10.5''

thanks 20C4S for your info, you made my decision for me pretty quickly! I have a question for you, are you Arling? If so, I guess I understand you get parts, and since you lead me in that direction, could you get me a set of spacers? If so how much do they cost???:D :snickers::cough:sixspeedonlinedeal...cough coughhilarious hilarious

20C4S Apr 19, 2004 04:19 PM

yes, that's me.

i can get the spacer but u don't won't to pay Techart price for the same stuff :D

u know what, PM No-Turn-Tech here. i think he has the best of what u're looking for. he is the sponsor here as well - http://www.boothedesign.com

hope this helps!

thanks for the honesty man! I respect that.... anyways, Arling, do you know about what spacer would help bulken this thing up a little bit. i don't want the wheels to be sticking out like a 1980 suzuki samurai on gold wires, but perhaps just right to the fender lip? Thanks for the help man!
