New 06 Turbo S or 08 S??
New 06 Turbo S or 08 S??
My dealer has two new 06 Turbo S's on the lot and I am considering them versus an 08 S. Good move/bad move? How much of a discount should I expect on the 06?
PDCC on the new Cayennes is friggin AMAZING! You can get a hell of a deal on a 06 Turbo S but keep in mind that its a 3 year old car and it will depreciate like crazy. We buy them 10-15K back of book. I would go for the new 08 Turbo. Hold its value more and again... PDCC is AMAZING. Totaly worth the 3,500 for it.
So you're saying that a 2008 CS will depreciate less than an 06 CTTS... With the deals that are out there right now on a CTTS, I HIGHLY doubt that. I'd go for the 06 and if you can find one that is CPO'd, even better.

Well think about this, 2006 is almost 3 years old. We still have 2 new 2006 Turbo S cayennes in stock and we cant give them away. Porsche came out with an incentive for the dealers to sell them and we still can not sell them. Everyone wants the new ones. Porsche is even cutting production by 20% across the board on all of their cars so resale values will go up and they are not flooding the market.
-The 2008 now have the direct fuel injection and you will get noticeably better gas mileage...15% on average.
-They are not making nearly as many Turbos than they have in the past
-Even getting an amazing deal around 85K... try trading in the car and the dealership will give you 65 or 70K on a good day... and keep in mind that on top of 85K is all your taxes and fees so lets say out the door is around 95K
-There is a big difference driving the 06 and 08... go for the 08 all day long!
If you really want a 06 I can get you one if you like and can get you a *****in deal... but if I was to do it I would get an 08

It's pretty easy to find a mid mileage 06 CTTS for under 80K, that car is a MUCH better deal than an 08 C S.
If you want performance, get the 06 and extend the warranty!
Who really cares about gas mileage anyways

i think OC has really good points; the heavy discounting on leftover 06 has to hammer the tail end of that product.
remember, i believe they are either raising US prices a bit and/or dropping the standard list, so again tail ends of the new model may be better.
