Gain 100HP and Dont Worry About Warranty!
Thanks for the info... guess I will pass unless you can give me something more than that. A tune can easily grenade an engine as you know. To put my engine on the line I would like to know more than his name but also his background. If you can't or won't give this information then that is a deal breaker.
I'm simply blown away by the asking price. I have a very similar tuning box on my CD, in fact the cables and connectors are identical and the aluminum housing itself is very similar. I purchased it from a source in England, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was even mapped by the same groups of EU tuners. My stock 240hp/406 torque is currently boosted to ~315/513, yet the complete kit only cost $350 delivered.

Diesel systems are a bit different. But the price is not $350. They dont have a Turbo application. Not apples to apples.

I already specified diesel, and it damn sure is apples to apples. We're talking internal combustion engines here; one compression ignition, the other electrical ignition. Only difference I see in your $2000 box and my $350 boxd is one additional cable and vehicle specific ECU remapping. You advertise "altering sensors related to fuel, timing, and boost", mine alters sensors related to fuel and boost. You likely don't realize that diesel timing is a function of fuel delivery.
And I did pay $350. The price in pounds Sterling includes 20% British VAT (sales tax). We're not subject to that tax over here. You should know that, as you likely reselling boxes imported from the Continent. 280 British pounds plus shipping - less 20% VAT reduction - then converted to dollars = pretty close to $350. Far cry from the two grand plus shipping and/or tax that you're asking.
Oh, and I spoke with Bluespark about this very topic. They are in fact developing a box for the Cayenne Turbo S. It's just not on the street yet.

I know this is a TOTALLY different car, but wanted to share/show it as we did on a Mercedes recently. Full article here - http://www.vrtuned.com/tuning/merced...nutes-of-work/

I'm still stumbling over the asking price. Granted we're talking Cayenne Diesel versus Mercedes CLA250 here, but my $350 tuning box seems to have taken my factory specs (240/406) to over 300hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. I know for sure there's been a significant power gain. Because the factory 0-60 acceleration time of 7.2 seconds is now about six. And I know that my (highway) fuel economy has improved by about 30%. You don't mention torque or economy. But your box apparently bumped a dyno'd 164 hp to 206. That represents $47.62 investment per horsepower of increase.
Full disclosure; I have not dyno'd my car, ando must rely on manufacturer numbers. I gained a claimed >60hp and >100 lb-ft of torque. You don't post torque figures, so my (assumed) power gain cost something less than $6 per horsepower gain.
What's wrong with this picture?

I dont have an answer for you. You also already have a product so not sure how to reply. If you do some research for a Cayenne 2014 Turbo flash, the prices are no where close to $350 let alone $1000. The SDI8 cannot be bench flashed either. I guess you can buy 22 inch wheels and get HRE for $8000 or eBay cast knock offs for $800 at set.
I didn't just fall off the turnip truck, VAG has encrypted OBD2 uplinks since MY2011. Clearly MB does as well. That said, it is possible to temporarily de-install the ECU and replace the mapping chip on the bench. But that's moot, as neither of us have selected that path. From my perspective it boils down to mark-up. The folks from whom I bought my diesel tuning box would seem operate on a significantly lower margin than does VR (for a gasoline box). Once the folks I dealt with release their Cayenne Turbo S box, the margin question should resolve itself.
But you completely lost me when you swerved down eBay wheel street.

I repeat. When flashing is denied by encryption, the method is to remove/open the ECU box and replace the mapping chip. Your method - and the one I use - is a compromise. It fools the engine into thinking it's getting different data from the ECU, and keeps servicing dealers happy at the same time. Nothing about a tuning box is irreversible

You cant replace a mapping chip in the SDI8. You cant even read the car in boot mode. Please stop your input in this thread, it has done nothing for it.
