Did you notice on a 2011 Cayennes pressing "PSM off" button (without pressing "Sport" button) does not increase/improve engine response/shift points/driving maps like in pre2011 Cayennes? Car always starts from 1 gear (not 2nd gear) from stop in any mode (Normal, Sport, Sport with PSM off). Also, when you stop at the intersection using manual shift mode and do not go into 1 gear, but 2nd only, car still downshifts into 1st in any mode regardless "Sport" on/off and "PSM" on/off...

What are your observations about this for 2011 Cayennes?

i assume because no transfer case like pre 11 models?

 

Also because 1st gear is so much improved and is quite short being that now we have 8 speeds. I like it sooo much better then my 2008 GTS.

I agree with Jace. I don't know much about the engines/transmissions, but, I've had an '04, '08 and '11 and the '11 is by far the smoothest and strongest performer. I just wish that it had a clock spmewhere more visible than the adjustable screen on the dashboard.
