My service advisor said no luck yet but if one of us dies it it finds out how to relay to them.....

 

Same here, my SA still can not figure it out. taking the car in next monday i'll ask them again.

been hearing plastic noise from the interior passenger side door every couple minutes, almost feel like something wasn't installed tightly enough and every couple min i would hear sound of plastic bending, hopefully they will know what is causing this.

 

So just to clarify, the 4 sport LED's in the headlights are on the Turbo models only, correct?

Correct. The more extreme hood, wide opening grill, and headlight 4 surrounding LED's are what makes the turbo look different than the rest from the front.

 

I knew about those items, just not about the lights, so thank you sir!

just emailed my SA about this again. will find out what they can do on Monday when i take the car in.

 

I'm thinking no luck but please let me know ASAP what the results are. Before mine comes out of the body shop and then the service shop I'll have them do it if you have luck. Get general instructions so I can pass them along to sa.

 

do the V6's have the same DRL as the S's?

 

I'm pretty sure they do. When I looked up close at a CS DRL, it has a solid light beam which goes right down the middle. There are a set of individual LED dots above and below (for turn signals I believe), but the DRL in the middle is like a straight line:

 

oh, because the other day, i saw a V6 go by with just that solid light beam in the middle of the 2 LED strips on. I didnt notice if it actually had the LED's above and below the solid strip but wouldnt the LED's be on instead of that solid bar?

 

This is apparently a V6. Although i do see lights above and below the solid strip, the only thing on is the solid strip. Can anyone concur if the LED's can be turned on for the V6?

No luck on the DRL yet, SA contacted porsche and neither has any clue on how to do it... will update if i hear otherwise.

 

Yeah, that looks right. Looks just like the DRL on a V8 I saw at my dealer. The middle solid strip is the DRL, and is what stays on during normal daytime driving.

The turbo's are different, they have a similar LED beam around the turn signal LED segments (not a single line thru the middle), but which only comes on with the main headlights, and does not function as a normal DRL. Instead, the 4 led's in the main headlight function as the DRL. My dealer has a turbo on the lot, if I get a chance tonight, I will try and take a pic of how the LED's look.

 

seriously guys?

the v6/v8 during day has the top and bottom lit up (bright)

at night the bar across the middle lights up (think bmw ring).. has led's at end and lights up the tube.

the turbo has 4 lights in headlight, and LED bar at night.
