Hi guys:

on the way home today i found the compass got stock on SE, (while the altitude and degree are working fine), when i turn i can hear " tick tick tick tick" coming from the compass, (i immediately turn on the PCM compass and found it to be working fine)

after about 10 minutes of driving the everything went back to normal and compass is now turning as I turn.

any experience in this type of issue?

very much so! made an appointment next tuesday will get it checked out.

 

Same thing happened to mine. Faulty compass and they replaced it. They said it was a common problem.

 

thanks for the heads up. bringing the pepper in tomorrow will check it out.

is it normal for PASM to lift my car up a little at red lights? this only happen once or twice but i could feel the front of the car lift up a little.

 

took the car in, the shop could not find any faulty codes for it. i did take several pictures on my i phone so they will see if they can still replace it even though the problem did not exist while the car is in shop.

 

FWIW, same thing happened to me - wasn't stuck, but would never read correct direction (although center digital display was always correct). After third trip to dealer, it was replaced.

I noticed that there was a clicking noise on my broken one. No clicking noise on new one.
