Road noise with Yokohama's?

Anybody else experiencing road noise with Yokohama tires? I have Yokohamas on my 2012 CTT. Had Michelins on my 2011. With my sunroof open or closed, above 70 mph, I hear considerable amount of road noise. Tire pressure is 39 on both fronts and 41 on rears. Pretty consistent readings.

Just curious if anybody else has issues...

J

They ate louder tires with the more wear you get on them when compared to others.
Had the same ones on my GTS and have them on the new CTT, same issue.
I think they are the best for handling but a bit noisy for me.
Might try a different option for next set....

What's everyone suggest?

Did you get the Yokohamas from the dealer when you picked it up? I'm assuming you just bought your CTT 2012 new. I'd think you'd get better tires than Yokohamas with a $107K+ car.

Yokos are one of their standard high performance tires for cayennes, so yes at delivery from dealership.
I'll say same for JC as well.

I just recently replaced my Yokos for the Pirelli, it was $300-400 cheaper than the yokos. I think they are quieter and rides smoother as well. Got about 16k out of the yokos.

I think I am gonna go ahead and pull the trigger. Probably get either the Pirelli's or the Michelins. I have yet to be disappointed by Michelin tires.

Yes, got the Yoko's at delivery on a new 2012 CTT.

Funny but true, Yoko Advans came standard on my 2009 Audi S8 as well and I experienced a similar problem!

I ordered my 11 CTT w the factory 19's all seasons (goodyear)
Just bought some Factory Turbo II wheels last week from the dealership w the Yoko's. Huge difference in road noise. The DB's went way up... Next set will not be the Yokos. Side note, the Yoks did handle very well at over 150mph

I guess it's different depending on location or dealer, but my CTT came with Michelins.

I took delivery w/ Yokos in the PNW, great handling but yes a bit loud. Having the noise insulating glass on my ride does help quite a bit though.

I've been told the pirelli's have issues with flat spots in the morning? I have the 22" yoke advan and never had complaints on vibration issues but they are not the most quiet tire out there.
