Climate Control Question

I have the A/C switched on all the time with my climate control. I know the the compressor only cycles when necessary. Since it is winter, I assume that it will not cycle much so I was going to turn if off. Do you guys always leave the A/C on or do you only select it when the cabin gets warm? With past cars, I only turned on the A/C when the weather got warm, but the dealer told me to always leave it on in the Cayenne.

if you hit 'auto' i think it turns it on so it can control it. i mostly leave it on all the time... even in the winter the compressor can keep humidity out of the car so it won't fog the windows.

A/C always on in all my car no matter the season. As stated by race3, keeps humity out keeps windows clear.

My CS seems to take a while to cool the air with the AC off—it must pass through a warm area in the engine compartment. However, I find that once I get it cooled down using the AC that I can turn off the AC when the outside temp is 63% or cooler. Just hit the AC button which will allow Auto to continue to function.

I only turn it on when its too warm. I might be wrong, but I feel that it robs the mpg and hp.

I must have missed this, but is there a way to turn it off completely other than manually turning the fan to the lowest setting? It's the same way on my 997 and I'd think they would put in an off switch by now...
