why can't you turn on the fog lights AND have active lighting (headlights turn left / right, etc.) at the same time? active lighting only works when the light switch is in the auto position... but then you can't pull it out to turn on the fog lights, which gives you even greater road illumination. weird.

 

Just tried mine and it works fine. I have a 2012 CS and my lights go l&r with fogs on.

 

Yes auto adjusting/cornering and such only works in auto. I was told its because the when your probably needing fogs you're primarily just
Driving straight.
Think is was a bs answer but yes the auto lights don't auto when pulled out.
Bummer.

 

this is not an accurate answer. the cornering lights may work when the fogs are on... but the auto leveling and turning of the headlights does NOT work when the fog lights are on. it's a design flaw.

 

sorry i wasn't aware they were 2 different things. when i turn the steering wheel LorR I do notice a different light comes on with the turn but did not know it was an additional bulb coming on.

 

So I was playing with CS today and noticed upon starting the car the headlights do auto level (go up and down and then center), but I can't seem to see the headlights beam moving L&R as I turn the steering wheel. With my past M5 turning the wheel either way the headlight actually turns with the wheel but either I can't tell the difference on with CS or the features isn't working on my CS... With or w/o the fogs I don't notice the headlights doing anything different.

Can anyone chime in on what actually occurs with the Bi-Xenon(TM) Headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) feature? I have the premium plus package so am assuming I should have this feature.

 

They will move left to right when you are in motion.

Nothing will move if you aren't driving forward or in park.
