Wheel Size for Winter Tires

Just picked up a beautiful 2012 Cayenne Turbo for my wife. Will need to put winters on it in the fall, but was wondering what the ideal wheel size would be. I'd prefer to go with 19"' but would they clear the calipers OK? Any advice?

Thx

Jmac

Jmac -

Most go with 19" wheels and a 265/50 19. Please give me a call, I'll be happy to help!

Damon's being too conservative. Tire Rack provided me with a beautiful set of 20" Blizzaks that were awesome in the snow! Mounted them on the factory Spyder wheels.

20" works fine, too. Some want to stay with it for looks. But for the best traction, especially in deeper snow, a 19" wheel and tire works best. The slightly skinnier tire works better to cut through snow, and the higher sidewall protects against potholes and helps the tire to create more "knifing" action through snow.

If you have PCCBs, you will need to go to 20s.
