sorry, i am too lazy to look at the manual. i did buy the car new from a dealer and the morons there had no clue. Even though they were an authorizied Porsche dealer.

Car: 958 Cayenne

My wife is petite and if the trunk lift opens all the way up, she can't reach it. I need to adjust how far it will go up. Can anyone please help with advise.

This is pretty simple. Simply adjust the height to the desired level then stop it from further movement. When the trunk is stopped, press and hold the close hatch button until it makes a beep. After that every time it opens it'll stop right there.

 

I tried that but did not work. Maybe I need to hold it a bit longer.
I will try it today and let you know if it worked or not. thanks for the quick response.

Adjusted mine yesterday.
Manually lift the hatch to desired height. Then press the close button firmly until you hear a distinct chime. Done Deal.

 

Wait for the beep/chime. If that didn't work you need to take it in.
